Our Community is Not for Sale: No Casino in NYC

We stand united and resolute against the push for a new casino in our community. This is not a conversation about jobs; it is a conversation about greed versus genuine public safety, and we will not allow our neighborhoods to be sacrificed on the altar of profit.

Casinos are not catalysts for community growth; they are predatory projects engineered to extract wealth, not create it. They import addiction, indebtedness, and desperation, destroying the stability of working families and increasing the burden on our local support systems. This is not economic development—it is a social liability.

As an advocate for accountability and a leader in this community, I put our elected officials on notice: Your primary oath is to the people, not to developers or casino lobbyists.

If you vote to push forward a predatory project that knowingly fosters gambling addiction and harms the most vulnerable members of our society, you are violating that oath. We will hold you accountable not just at the ballot box, but in every public forum until our voices are heard.

Our streets are not a venue for corporate profit. Our homes are not collateral for gambling debt.

We demand leaders who build lasting public infrastructure, who invest in education and housing, and who genuinely seek to uplift communities—not those who sell us out to the highest bidder for short-term gain.

Our community is not for sale. The answer is NO CASINO.
